Food price spike and economic downturn increased the number of undernourished people from 850M in 2005 to >1B in 2008. Indications are that the food crisis of 2008 was a dress rehearsal for a future crisis. This presentation focuses on food prices and volatility driven by a confluence of supply and demand factors.
