The purpose of the project was to promote the adoption of CBSD-tolerant varieties developed in earlier phases of the project, to improve food security and decrease the economic impact of the disease on commercialisation of cassava as a source of flour. This short extension to the project has added-value by further distribution of CBSDtolerant varieties, evaluating the impact of CBSD on commercialisation of cassava and surveyed the extent of disease spread following a new outbreak of CBSD in Uganda.
