Yan V. Shynkarenko is responsible for coordinating analytical, consulting and public company projects. Mr. Shynkarenko has been involved in agricultural production and trading activities since 1997 when he started his career in Kirovograd, Ukraine as the grain logistics analyst at the regional office of Tradigrain Ukraine LLC. In 2010, Mr. Shynkarenko started administering agricultural insurance and risk-management programs within www.AgroInsurance.com Project. Currently, Yan’s areas of professional interest and development are agricultural risk management insurance consulting, insurance and banking (financial) underwriting for agriculture, crop/livestock insurance program administration, and market analysis.
Roman Shynkarenko is an expert in agricultural insurance and risk management issues. He works in the agricultural sector since 1993, having started to work with agricultural insurance since 2001. He has been working at private insurance and consulting companies as well as offered consulting services while working for international organizations.
Roman has extensive experience in insurance product development (both traditional and index ones), launching private and public insurance programs, setting underwriting systems. He consulted private and public institutions from different countries including Russia, Moldova, Albania, China, Ukraine, etc.
Roman Shynkarenko conducted numerous consulting assignments for international organizations and private consulting companies. He has developed a number of agricultural insurance technical training courses that have been repeatedly conducted during the last ten years in CIS countries.
Peter Welten joined Swiss Re in December 2000 and successfully completed the internal graduate’s program. During 6 years he was working as a Senior Casualty Underwriter for Global Clients. Since 2006 he is working in Swiss Re’s agriculture reinsurance team where he is responsible for several European markets. In his role as an agriculture market Underwriter he is working in a client facing role as well as assessing and analyzing agriculture business such as crop, livestock, bloodstock, aquaculture, greenhouses and forestry risks. He holds a Master’s degree in Forest Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH).
