The FRIES seminar series is a joint initiative aimed at fostering interdisciplinary collaboration within and beyond the Institute for Environmental Decisions at ETH Zurich. We discuss current advances in the field of ‘Food system geogRaphy polIcy & EconomicS’ (FRIES), and the seminars are open to anyone interested in the topics. Lead participants are the Agricultural Economics and Policy Group (D-MTEC and D-USYS) and the Food System Economics and Policy Group (D-​USYS), other guest speakers. Seminars usually last one hour.

FRIES are either live “bring-your-lunch” or virtual seminars that usually take place on Wednesdays at 12.00. If in person, they are held at SOL B4. Talks last 30 min, and discussions follow for another 30 min. Please see the schedule below for upcoming talks.
