Agroecology offers a holistic approach to sustainable food systems in the tropics, enhancing resilience, biodiversity, and social equity while reducing environmental degradation. There is evidence of environmental, social, economic, and food system benefits of agroecology in many parts of the globe. Africa is yet to benefit fully from the benefits of Agroecology across the continent. This session creates a common platform for experts, practioners, and relevant stakeholders of agroecology to discuss how Africa and the tropics can take advantage of the benefits of agroecology to transform its food system in a sustainable manner.
