NetWwater – Network of women Professionals – is the Sri Lankan women forum for water professionals. Through its ‘Women, Water and Wisdom Agenda’, the organisation promotes empowerment of women in the water sector through holistic water management.
Key activities of NetWater, a founding member of WfWP, include: capacity building and advocacy in climate change adaptation, catchment conservation, facilitation of interactive water dialogues with stakeholders and sharing water related knowledge amongst youth groups and women’s groups.
A signature programme of NetWwater running since 2005 are the Water dialogues for children (Sisu Jala Hamuwa), raising awareness on water and the importance of water, water related disasters and water resource management among school children.
