The College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM) was established by Nigeria’s Governing Council of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) via a Resolution passed at its statutory meeting held on the 16th of November 2016. The CIFM started its operations in 2010 under the Training Directorate of the CIIN but moved to its present campus on the 5th of January 2015.

CIFM is a full-fledged college set up by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) to understake its training function. The center provides in-depth training in insurance, financial management, marketing and other related fields.

The main objective for which CIFM was established is to provide long lasting solutions to manpower training and development problems of the insurance industry in Nigeria.
