FARM-D podcast – Episode 7: Climate change and rural farmers’ resilience

Focus Topic:

The 7th episode of our podcast explored the agricultural diversification techniques to improve social and environmental dynamics. The discussion delved into the comprehensive global study, “Joint Environmental and Social Benefits from Diversified Agriculture.” This study, developed by 58 experts, brings together data from 24 studies conducted across various regions. The study has harmonized these 24 datasets to better understand how diversified agriculture affects the environment and can support farmers’ livelihoods.

To talk about the subject, we welcomed the lead authors Laura Vang Rasmussen, Researcher and Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen and Ingo Grass, Researcher and Professor for Ecology of Tropical Agricultural Systems at the University of Hohenheim.
