Gender-smart solutions: the recipe to transform action on the ground

A new platform provides knowledge, evidence and guidance on how to drive gender-transformative action on the ground.

Building on its expertise in Climate and Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance (CDRFI), the InsuResilience Global Partnership has developed an online repository of information and knowledge-exchange platform on gender-related aspects in the area of CDRFI. It is the first platform with such a focus.

Kicked off in December 2020, the InsuResilience Centre of Excellence on Gender-smart Solutions enables users to find out how to create gender-sensitive, responsive and transformative action on the ground, providing hands-on guidance, informing on exciting opportunities and bringing users closer to a vivid community that is re-thinking gender-inclusiveness.

With the aim of strengthening the resilience of poor and vulnerable people, differentially impacted by climate change and disasters, the formation of the Centre is suggested to ensure the success of the InsuResilience Global Partnership Vision 2025.

Over 2021, the Centre of Excellence will continue to collate information from the international community until its full launch at COP26, which will take place in November 2021. Should you wish to contribute research to the platform please contact the InsuResilience Secretariat: [email protected] for more information.
