In Senegal, the Food and Agriculture Resilience Mission – Pillar 3 (FARM P3) complements and intends to enhance the impact of the Projet d’Appui à la Stratégie de Souveraineté Alimentaire du Sénégal (Food Sovereignty Project, SFSP/PASS) by delivering technical studies and supporting public-private collaborations.
Findings of five studies developed by FARM P3 were disseminated among project stakeholders on 5 to 6 November 2025 in Dakar with the presence of Dr. Mabouba Diagne, Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty.
The FARM P3 studies — covering rural finance, markets, nutrition, civil society and agroecological zones — provide an analytical foundation to improve PASS targeting and guide future investments to boost productivity, climate resilience and development outcomes.
Expected results include improved financing models and agroecological techniques, as well as stronger impacts on nutrition, civil society engagement, and market connectivity in PASS project areas.
Until June 2026, FARM P3 will support the IFAD Country Office and PASS in identifying and developing strong links with private sector partners, helping to translate efforts into concrete investments and sustainable results.
SFSP/PASS
The IFAD-funded Projet d’Appui à la Stratégie de Souveraineté Alimentaire du Sénégal (Food Sovereignty Project, SFSP/PASS) supports up to 800,000 people including smallholders and agribusinesses to access more climate-resilient food systems through the productivity, sustainability, and resilience of key value chains.
FARM P3 globally
Launched by France under the EU Council Presidency and hosted by IFAD, FARM P3 support opportunities in Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Zimbabwe within existing investment projects where private sector involvement and collaboration with development partners adds value in priority value chains.
