CEIGRAM is a research center of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM in its Spanish acronym) that aims to contribute to the study, analysis and management of agricultural and environmental risks.
Its activities are focused on promoting and coordinating the agricultural insurance policy promoted by the Government of Spain. AGROSEGURO is in charge of managing agricultural insurance on behalf of the insurance entities that are part of the co-insurance pool. UPM, the largest Spanish technical university, has a strong commitment to research, development and innovation (R+D+I) through its 205 research groups and 19 R&D Centers and Institutes, which contributes to the development of the international scientific community such as the CEIGRAM case.
It is also part of the Moncloa Campus of International Excellence (CEIM), a joint initiative of the Complutense and Polytechnic Universities of Madrid, in collaboration with other organizations.
