Vote for Lindiwe Hayo, a PhD candidate in Sustainable Agriculture at Niigata University, Japan. As a dedicated member of the Africa-Asia Youth Nest and the Youth TICAD initiative, she actively promotes youth-led innovation and co-creation between Africa and Japan. Lindiwe’s research focuses on climate-smart agriculture and mitigation strategies aimed at transforming food systems across sub-Saharan Africa. She combines academic insight with grassroots advocacy to drive inclusive and resilient change. She was recently recognized as a Facilitator at the High School Students International Conference 2025 in Osaka, where she championed SDG 4: Quality Education for All. As an active member of the FARM-D Community of Practice, Lindiwe is passionate about advancing sustainable agricultural transitions through digital innovation, youth leadership, and knowledge sharing.
