Afrique en Ligne (Mar. 30, 2011) | Farming-Namibia – The Agra public lectures, contributing to Namibian agriculture as part of Agra’s corporate social involvement, started again recently. In the first round of public lectures, Agra will inform farmers on vaccination programmes and parasite control for sheep and goats in Rehoboth on April 2. A series of public lectures on Swakara production will be presented in May and June this year at Keetmanshoop, Karasburg, Gibeon, Otjimbingwe, Usakos, Uis and in Windhoek. In the North, public lectures will be presented on June 24 in Oshakati and June 25 in Oshivelo. These lectures will equip farmers with knowledge of livestock parasites and remedies and improving animal production through lick supplementation. The annual public lecture in Windhoek takes place on June 29 at the Agra Bank Windhoek conference facility and will focus on breeding and selection of cattle.
